Testing the Blogsy App

I was delighted today to accidentally come across an amazing app called Blogsy that set me back about £3.50. I say amazing in the hope that it will work as easily as was to set up – we will see!

What makes it so appealing is that it seems to fit so beautifully into my preferred workflow:

  • Take photos with the iPhone, or import with wifi from the camera to the iPad.
  • Develop the images with SnapSeed and other preferred apps that saved automatically across all my apple devices, including my MacBook where I save the best ones into my Lightroom Catalog.
  • And, finally for now (what might come next?) I can send images to both by websites right from the iPad.

I should add that all my iPhone images back up automatically to Dropbox where I get 1 terabyte of storage for around £75 a year.

I dropped in a few images to test and that worked fine. It was a simple matter to re-edit this post in the Blogsy app, easier than going the normal route through WordPress. As my blog is generally more about the photos than the words I need to enlarge them to full width, my next task

Having changed the image size I will come back here and post an update.

I’m back. I checked out the online video tutorials, easily accessed through the app. To format images you simply double tap the image to open up the preferences box. Here you can decide the published size of the image, how you want text to wrap around it and add alt text and a description. So easy.

I hope you WordPress bloggers out there find this information useful. It works with Blogger too.
